Laura earned a BA in linguistics and government at Georgetown and has professional experience as a Teach for America corps member (3rd grade math) and Hebrew Immersion Pre-K Teacher at Sela Public Charter School in DC. Currently, Laura is a policy resident the US Commission for Civil Rights, developing expertise in the policy areas of bilingual and gifted education.

Jaida earned a BA in English, history, and African-American studies at Emory University and has professional experience as an administrative assistant, tutor, and teacher’s assistant. Currently, Jaida is a policy resident at HCM Strategists, developing expertise in the policy areas of community engagement for PK-12 public schools.

Meredith Hills is a 2018 MA in Educational Transformation candidate with a concentration in Advocacy & Policy. Meredith earned a BA in government, politics, and rhetoric at the University of Maryland, College Park, and has professional experience with the central development team of the Brookings Institution, a DC-based think tank. Currently, Meredith is a graduate fellow in federal policy at Advance CTE, developing expertise in the policy areas of funding and resources.

Lindsay McCrea

Lindsay McCrea is a 2018 MA in Educational Transformation candidate with a concentration in Advocacy & Policy. Lindsay earned a BA in history at Elon University and has professional experience as a senior program specialist in curriculum at the Bill of Rights Institute, a nonprofit educational organization based in Arlington, VA, as well as a high school social studies teacher with DC Public Schools. Currently, Lindsay is a humanities curriculum specialist with DC Public Schools, developing expertise in curriculum development and implementation in 6-12 Social Studies and ELA.
